Former National Lands Commission (NLC) boss Muhammed Swazuri will have to wait until 23rd April when their bail hearing will be heard.
Swazuri was arrested alongside other officials at their Nairobi homes by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives over graft charges.
The former NLC chairman has been accused of fraudulent compensation of land acquired by the commission during the construction of the Mombasa Southern Bypass.
The land in question is that of Tornado Carriers Limited that was compensated Ksh 109 million while its real value is estimated at Ksh 34 million.

Speaking after the arrest the DPP Noordin Hajji questioned as to how land could have tripled in price over a span of two years.
Other officials arrested along Muhammed Swazuri include; Emma Njogu (NLC Commissioner) Tom Aziz Chavangi (NLC Chief Executive Officer) Salome Ludenyi Munubi (NLC Director Valuation and Taxation) and Francis Karimi Mugo (NLC Director Finance)
