Revelations by the Chairman of the National Land Commission indicate that 20 KM of Mama Ngina land has been grabbed.
The grabbed land is part of an entire parcel that was set by the government back in the 1970 and as per Swazuri’s report, about 70 percent of Mama Ngina land has been grabbed.
Addressing journalist on Thursday Swazuri said that about 13 individuals and companies were illegally allocated the land between the years 1985 and 2012.
He has so far issued notice to the individuals and companies to vacate the land as soon as possible.
Mama Ngina is in the process of regeneration as planned by the government. President Uhuru Kenyatta was at the coastal city on Monday to commission the regeneration which is expected to complete in five months’ time.

According to Tourism CS Najib Balala, the face lift will not only attract tourist to Mombasa but it will also increase tourism and tourist who will also be able to access the ferry on the other side.
Swazuri coastal tour Swazuri who is Mombasa toured Mama Ngina together with Mombasa Lands Executive Edward Nyale where they threatened to expose the land grabbers.
