Uchumi Supermarket set to close two of its branches.

Uchumi Supermarket is planning to close two of its branches in Capital Centre Mall and Jipange(Ruaraka) and seek space at more profitable locations.

The retailer  has been in Jipange branch for over five years and in Capital Centre Mall for over two decades.Lately the retailer has been looking for an equity investor to bail them out,said they will close two of its low performing branches when there lease expires next week Wednesday.

Uchumi has lately been facing stiff competition from its competitors as well as financial difficulties that is forcing them to close the two branches.
