Theresa May is set to quit her position as United Kingdom Prime Minister come June 7th to pave way for a new Prime Minister to step in.
Speaking at Downing St. May said that she has done her best to honour the 2016 EU referendum results.
She continued by saying that it with deep regret that she has been unable to deliver Brexit. In the meantime, May will continue to serve as Prime Minister until when a Conservative leadership takes over.
Theresa May has received a huge backlash from her MP’s who are against her latest Brexit plans Common Leader Andrea Leadsom quit her position on Wednesday.
In a statement on Friday, May said that in order for her successor to deliver Brexit he/she will have to build a consensus in parliament first.
