Three COVID-19 patients have in the last 24 hours died in Kenya bringing to 637 the number of fatalities in the country.
Confirming the latest updates was Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi who said a total of 2,985 samples were tested revealing 92 new positive cases.
The new positive cases comprise of 88 Kenyans and 4 foreigners bringing to 36,393 the cumulative number of cases. The cumulative number of samples tested now stand at 504,988.

When it comes to gender, 64 of the new cases are males and 18 are females all aged between two-years and 75-years.
In terms of distribution by county, Nairobi has 25 cases followed by Mombasa with 20, Nakuru 8, Garissa 7, Uasin Gishu 6, Kisumu 5, Turkana 4, Kiambu 4, Kakamega 3, Machakos 2, Kajiado 2, Busia 2, Nyeri 1, Kilifi 1, Taita Taveta 1 and Tana River 1.
The CAS noted that a total of 165 patients have recovered from the virus with 105 of them being from various hospitals across the country and 60 from home-based care. This now brings to 23,529 the number of recoveries.
