Three men were on Wednesday attacked and killed in Kilifi after an angry mob mistook them to be kidnappers as confirmed by local police officers.
Police have already launched investigations into the accident as they confirmed that the three were on a business trip when they were ambushed by the mob.
The three who included a father, son, and their farmhand were not only lynched to death but were also hacked and their vehicle set on fire during the 8 pm incident.

The police have already arrested three people in connection to the murder and have vowed to get to the bottom of it as well as arrest everyone who had a hand in it.
Speaking to Citizen TV, Coast Regional Commissioner John Elungata confirmed that the three were inspecting a parcel of land for business purposes as he warned residents against taking the law into their own hands.
The news comes at a time when Mombasa County is experiencing a surge in kidnapping and rape incidents that saw the arrest of one Joseph Wamalwa in Bamburi area.
Several victims narrated their experience in the hands of the kidnappers who usually operate using a car and drug their victims before committing the crime. A number of victims are still in their hands as confirmed by the police.
