Thugs break into Kibos police station and steal three guns

Kibos Police post in Muhoroni was on Saturday night broken into by thugs who made away with three guns and ammunition.

The incident is reported to have occurred at 11:30 pm when the police in duty had left his post to attend to something at home.

Upon coming back, he found the armoury open with three guns a G3 rifle, Mp5 rifle and L1A1 rifle missing.

He called his fellow officers who combed through nearby sugarcane plantations but called off the search due to heavy rains in the area.

Also reported missing were 155 rounds of ammunition, three Mp5 riffle magazines and three G3 riffle magazines.

The search is still in process as the police seek to recover the guns and ammunition that could be used to commit crimes.
