“Regarding the gubernatorial and senatorial contests, the former is now a much closer race than it was two months ago, with Senator Johnstone Sakaja of UDA only slightly ahead of his main opponent, Jubileeā€™s Polycarp Igathe (40 per cent vs. 32 per cent),” confirmed the polls

The news will definitely be welcomed by the Nairobi Senator who has been accused of forging his degree certificate obtained from Team University in Uganda. The allegation saw the Commission of University Education (CUE) revoke there previous statement clearing him for the August 9th elections.

Sakaja’s woes escalated to investigation calls from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) boss George Kinoti who implicated him to an international ring involved in the forging business.

Kinoti’s statement saw Sakaja turn himself in for questioning before he was turned away as he had not been summoned. A full hearing by IEBC Dispute Tribunal cleared the Senator for the big job as they confirmed that they do not have a branch tasked with investigations.
