A last minute goal from striker Ivan Toney condemned Premier League giants Manchester to their second loss of the season.
Despite coming in as the strongest team to emerge winners, Manchester City was stunned by the Bees who went ahead in the 16th minute thanks to a header from their on form striker Ivan Toney.
Pep Guardiola’s side was forced to apply pressure moving on and their efforts were rewarded deep in the end of the first half when the ball fell of Phil Foden’s legs before sending it through the roof of his opponents.

All sides were level in the beak setting up a perfect clash of the titans come the second half from both sides.
Manchester City displayed a stronger performance come the second half but run out of ideas to break Brentford defense as they pushed them further back to defend from their box.
They were however exposed at the back leading to a counter attack that saw Toney tap home a John Dasilva’s assist in extra time.
The win leaves Manchester City second in the table with 32 points from 14 games played and two points behind Arsenal who could open the gap to five if they win their late clash against Wolves. Brentford moved up to 10th place with 19 points from 15 matches played so far.
