Tottenham pulled a late goal through Alderweireld to set up a perfect comeback and send them above them in the Premier League table.

The Sunday derby was crucial for both sides given the intent to qualify for a European spot come next season.

Arsenal took the lead in the 16th minute when Alexandre Lacazette thunder bolt strike went past Hugo Lloris.

The lead lasted for three minutes before Son Heung-min calmly chipped the ball past Martinez following a defensive blunder by Kolasinic and David Luiz proved costly for the Gunners.

Both Mourinho and Arteta’s sides had best opportunities that saw Davies and Aubamayeng fall short of netting a goal each for their clubs.

The final and second goal for Spurs came in the 81st minute when Son’s cross was converted by  Alderweireld and seal three crucial points for the host.

Jose Mourinho under pressure

Jose mourinho was under pressure in his weekend fixture to produce a great result following a string of poor results.

His side lacked the better part of possession against Arsenal but the visitors were wasteful at the back causing problems for themselves.

The win lifts Tottenham to position eight with 52 points as Arsenal settled for nine with one final match against Liverpool.
