Tottenham secured a deserving 2-0 win against Manchester City take a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Son Heung-min and Giovani Lo Celso were both on target and prove dominance against Manchester City who have lost in their last three encounters at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in London.

Pep Guardiola was clearly astonished by the results as he expected to win to mark his two-year contract extension with the club.

The host took the lead in the 9th minute when Son Heung-min calmly controlled the ball before beat Ederson driving a low ball through his legs.

The visitors had their goal in the 27th minute disallowed after the ball fell on the hand of Laporte to deny them an equalizer and hopes of making a comeback.

Jose Mourinho’s men continued to push and it was in the 65th minute when Harry Kane’s through ball fell in the legs of Giovani Lo Celso who made no mistake but double the lead.

The loss leaves Pep Guardiola at 10th position with 12 points from eight matches played this season, the worst of his career under Manchester City.
