Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has today apologized for his “go to hell” remarks with Kenyans calling for his resignation following the death of the ten Rhinos after a botched relocation exercise.
Appearing before the parliamentary committee on Environment and Natural resources, Mr. Najib said that he regrets about the outburst and most importantly for dragging the name of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I regret I did that outburst, it was out of pain that I am being let down by my system. I do regret dragging the president’s name,” said Balala.
CS Balala also took accountability of his docket to all Kenyans and not only the President.

The apology comes after his Monday remarks telling critics that they can go to hell as they did not appoint him.
“Nobody has appointed me. It is only President Uhuru Kenyatta who has appointed me. So, they can go to hell. I can tell them that… Uhuru Kenyatta is the only one who has appointed me here and he knows I have the capacity to run the wildlife docket. Nobody is going to intimidate me,” he chest-thumped.
Currently the CS is under pressure following the deaths of ten rhinos that died after relocation. He has already suspended six Kenya Wildlife officials following the incidence.
