The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) has charged Tudor MCA Samir Gulamabas Baloo and his bodyguard Abdul Wasi Mohamed over five election offenses.
The two appeared in the Mombasa Court where they were charged with the use of violence, being in possession of counter foil ballot papers, removing election materials from a polling station without authority, and assault.
“Tudor ward elected MCA Samir Gulamabas Baloo and his bodyguard Abdul Wasi Mohamed were yesterday charged with five election offenses in a Mombasa court.

The five counts include destroying election materials, use of violence, being in possession of counter foil ballot papers, removing election materials from a polling station without authority, and assault.” said ODPP
The two however denied the charges and were released on a cash bail of Ksh 40,000 each as confirmed by ODPP.
