TV, Radio and YouTube classes to begin in March 23rd

The Ministry of Education has announced home-based classes for students currently at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Over 15 million students will from March 23rd begin their classes on four platforms that is the TV, Radio, YouTube and Kenya Education Cloud.

CS Magoha made the announcement that will see students receive guidance while at home.

A partnership between the ministry and Kenya Broadcasting Channel, KBC will see the students being taught on a daily basis from Monday-Friday.

Radio Taifa will air the lessons from 10 am to 11 am and the English Service from 9.15 am to 12 noon and the same will continue from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Residents of Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera will be broadcasted through Iftini FM and Transworld.

Edu channel TV available for free on signet and Edu TV YouTube platforms will also run the programmes.

The Kenya Education Cloud platform will also provide students with digital content of KICD approved materials online.

Parents have been urged to ensure that their children stay at home as per the President’s order due to the virus.
