Two suspects were yesterday arrested by detectives from the Department of Criminal Investigations for kidnapping.
The two namely Joshua Ngugi and Jane Wanjiku are said to have kidnapped Mr. Paul Kyande on 28th August at Kinoo-Kikuyu area before pouring acid on him and chopping off his private parts.
“Two suspects namely Joshua Ngugi & Jane Wanjiku Washuka (alias Margret Njoki) were arrested yesterday in KwaleCounty for having kidnapped Mr. Paul Kyande on 28/08/2018 at Kinoo~Kikuyu area, poured acid on his face & completely chopped off his private parts.” Said DCI on twitter.
Joshua and Jane were arrested in Kwale County while attending an interview for a hotel job in the county with different names from those in their ID. They are currently held in custody and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
Their victim Mr. Paul is at Kenyatta Hospital receiving treatment but in a critical condition.
“The two were arrested while attending interviews for a hotel job in the said county bearing different names from those in their IDs.They are currently in lawful custody & will be arraigned in court on Monday. Their victim is at Kenyatta National Hospital in a critical condition.” added DCI.
More arrest.
Yesterday the DCI arrested one man in Lamu who is in possession of explosive materials.
The man by the name Juma Omar Kiryuta is believed to be using the materials to make Improvised Explosive Devices.
He was arrested and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
