DCI detectives have on Wednesday arrested two people, one man and woman following a public outcry that they rob innocent Kenyans.
The alert was first raised by Crime Watch Nairobi who said that the two usually park their car at the Southern Bypass before robbing people who think they are stranded.
In addition to the theft, the two identified as Caroline Wanjiku Maina and Keith Njoroge, are said to have the tendency of changing the number plate number from V to W using a tape.

“Members cautioned to be wary of this vehicle. Occupants pretend to be stranded, then rob people. Last spotted on Southern bypass. Please note the numberplate is modified from V to W using tape.”
Responding to the alert, detectives begun their investigations and caught the two towards Kikuyu before they were taken in.
“Following this alert, DCI Kenya Detectives swung into action and immediately intercepted the said vehicle with ALTERED registration number KCW 675E along Southern bypass towards Kikuyu where two individuals; Caroline Wanjiku Maina and Keith Njoroge both aged 25yrs were arrested.
Both suspects placed in lawful custody as further investigations continue. The motor vehicle whose original Registration number is KCV 675F has been detained.”
