Two I&M bank employees have been arrested by detectives from the directorate of criminal investigations for stealing Ksh 27 million.
The two namely Mr. Tom Odhiambo Adinda and Mr. Daniel Ochieng Okweh are also key vault custodian of the bank’s Kisii branch.
The Friday event was noted after the two mixed 100 and 1000 notes in each 1M bundle of notes.
They are set to appear in court on Monday.

“ARRESTED Mr.Tom Odhiambo Adinda & Mr.Daniel Ochieng Okweh; both employees of I&M Bank ~Kisii Branch & Key Vault custodians were arrested yesterday for stealing over Ksh.27Million from the bank by mixing 100 and 1000 notes in each 1M bundle of notes. To appear in court on Monday.” Said the DCI.
Member of Parliament arrested
On Friday, Lugari Member of Parliament Honourable Ayub Savula Angatia was arrested by detectives from the DCI for the offence of conspiring to steal Ksh 122 million from the ministry of Information and Communication.
The Member of Parliament is set to appear in court on Monday.
“Lugari Member of Parliament,the Honorable Ayub Savula Angatia,has been arrested this evening by DCI_Kenya Detectives for conspiring to steal Ksh.122,335,500 from the Ministry of Information Communication and Technology. To be arraigned in court on Monday.” Said the DCI.
