Two buses belonging to Modern Coast company were on Wednesday morning impounded by police at Sultan Hamud.
The two buses were ferrying passengers to Migori and Kakamega despite a travel ban issued by NTSA to the company on 12th December 2019.
On Tuesday, there was confusion as the company posted a letter from NTSA lifting the ban on 43 of there buses.

Minutes later NTSA verified the information saying that the ban was still on and that they should resist from providing the services.
Passengers were left stranded at Sultan Hamud police station as crew members of both buses are reported to have escaped during the process.
Many other passengers across the country are calling for refunds after they booked with the company failing to meet fulfill their promise.
