“Eighteen suspects were yesterday arrested within Likuyani in Kakamega County after a rowdy mob assaulted the OCS Matunda Police Station before torching Mbururu Police Patrol Base in retaliation of the arrest of a 21-yr-old suspect.”
Dennis who had been arrested was released on a free police bond but the mother reported to have not seen his son later on.
“The suspect’s mother went to the base yesterday and reported that her son never went home after being released, whereby she was referred to the OCS Matunda Police Station for further assistance.” Said DCI
The body of Dennis was found dumped into River Nzoia with autopsy reports and results indicating a possible homicide.
“Their arrest follows the body’s discovery, examination and autopsy report which suggested a possible homicide before the victim’s body was dumped into River Nzoia. Both in our custody for investigative interviewing.” Said DCI
