Two officers arrested for suspected murder of Dennis Lusava

Detectives have arrested two police officers suspected to be involved in the suspected murder of Dennis Lusava.

The two officers based at Mbururu police post in Kakamega county were arrested by homicide detectives following the sudden disappearance and death of the 21-year-old.

On October 9th, eighteen suspects were arrested following an assault incident on Matunda Police Station OCS before torching the police station in retaliation of the arrest of 21-year-old.

“Eighteen suspects were yesterday arrested within Likuyani in Kakamega County after a rowdy mob assaulted the OCS Matunda Police Station before torching Mbururu Police Patrol Base in retaliation of the arrest of a 21-yr-old suspect.”

Dennis who had been arrested was released on a free police bond but the mother reported to have not seen his son later on.

“The suspect’s mother went to the base yesterday and reported that her son never went home after being released, whereby she was referred to the OCS Matunda Police Station for further assistance.” Said DCI

The body of Dennis was found dumped into River Nzoia with autopsy reports and results indicating a possible homicide.

“Their arrest follows the body’s discovery, examination and autopsy report which suggested a possible homicide before the victim’s body was dumped into River Nzoia. Both in our custody for investigative interviewing.” Said DCI
