War on drugs in Mombasa

This follows numerous complaints from locals who blame security forces of laxity in dealing with the matter.

This month a gang dubbed Wakali Kwanza took to the streets of Bamburi attacking passersby with crude weapons.

Heavy deployment was done at the area which is still ongoing until they make sure they have dealt with the suspects.

Speaking from Mombasa, Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i promised the exercise will be painful but they are ready to deal with the gangs.

The interior CS visited victims of the terror attack who are receiving treatment during his visit to Mombasa.
