Police in Kisumu have on Saturday night shot dead two suspected thugs in Nyamasaria area.
The two are reported to have been on the police radar for sometime and have been dodging the long arm of the law.
It is reported that police based in Kasagam were alerted of their whereabouts before ambushing the house at 11:30 pm.

According to reports, the police knocked on the house and the two were prepared with a machete and a fake pistol ready to charge towards the police at the door.
Luckily, one of the police shot down the two as he tried to protect his fellow officer who was going to be slashed by the machete.
Area OCPD and DCIO were called at the scene and verified the bodies of the two before they were taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga for preservation pending further investigation.
The police also confirmed that the two were being sought after for two crimes of stealing and burglary in Nyamasaria and Kisumu East and had gone missing after they were released on bail.
Investigations are also ongoing to find the whereabouts of other members of the gang that has terrorizing residents and hiding in Nyamasaria area.
