It was business unusual for residents of Mombasa when police attached to the anti-terror unit arrested two suspected terror suspects at the Likoni crossing.
The officers who are reported to have been acting on a tip surrounded the Probox of registration number KCE 695U, shot in the air before arresting the suspects who were blindfolded and taken into a waiting vehicle.
Shocked residents stood aside as they watched in disbelief the ordeal that took less than five minutes. Two AK-47 riffles were recovered from the vehicle and taken in for further investigation.

According to reports, the arrest follows the arrest of another suspect who led the police to the whereabouts of the suspects arrested on Monday morning.
It is reported that the suspects were panning to attack a police installation most probably a police station as it has been the case by most terrorists across the world.
The police are reported to be targeting many other suspects linked to the deadly gang making its way into the country and planning a number of attacks in major cities.
