British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to confirm his resignation on Thursday as confirmed by various media outlets.
The UK Prime Minister is also expected to issue a statement in that effect as confirmed by BBC Political Editor Chris Mason on Twitter. “Boris Johnson will resign as Conservative Party leader today,” Said Mason.

His resignation follows the resignation of top politicians and ministers under his party including the finance who has called on Boris Johnson to step down as confirmed by a spokesperson.
“The Prime Minister will make a statement to the country today,” Said the spokesperson
It has been revealed that the British Prime Minister is hanging onto power as the Prime Minister until when a new leader has been chosen to replace him, a process that could take up to two months.
