Reporting the incident was Kenya Ferry Services who said the unidentified man was seated before moving towards the edge of the ferry and into the ocean.

An alert was sent prompting rescuers to step in to save him but it turned out unsuccessful.

Kenya Ferry police and Maritime officers are said to have been informed of the said incident as rescue operations are currently underway.

This is the second incident in less than a month as another man jumped off MV Jambo in a similar fashion.

The man also exhibited mental issues before jumping into the deep waters.

He, however, struggled to swim before he was rescued in the process.
