University student kills lover’s son, blames evil spirits

A third year student at Murang’a University has been arrested for killing his lover’s son.

The 24-year old student was arrested before leading the police to a bush where he had committed the barbaric act.

Confirming the incident was Murang’a County Police Commander who said the suspect admitted to committing the crime.

Speaking to Nation, Josphat Kinyua said the victim had serious injuries on the face and head.

Kinyua continued by saying that the Murang’a University student blamed evil spirits for leading him to commit the murder.

He called on people to find amicable ways of dealing with issues even if it means walking away.

The estranged lover of the student and mother to the three year old boy became suspicious of the suspect when he went missing.

She confirmed the student had taken the boy to his apartment near the university before he disappeared.
