UON student arrested for threatening Njoro MP

A Master student from the UON, University of Nairobi has been arrested by detectives.

The UON student was arrested for allegedly threatening Njoro MP Hon. Charity Chepkowny.

30-year old Alex Anyolo has also been accused of sending threatening messages to five other MP’s with the intent to defraud them.

“A 30-year-old Masters student at #UON has been arrested by #DCI Detectives from the HQs following a threatening report made by the Hon. Charity Chepkwony,MP for Njoro. Mr. Alex Anyolo had been sending threatening messages to the complainant & FIVE other MPs with intent to Extort.”

The suspect who had already received money from another Member of Parliament admitted to sending the messages with the intent to extort money.

Several assorted sim cards including that was used to send the massage were recovered as investigations are ongoing.
