Veteran radio host Mohammed Juma dies

Veteran radio host Mohammed Juma has died in a Nairobi Hospital after a long illness.

The late Mohammed Juma joined Royal Media Service from Kenya Broadcasting Company (KBC) in 1998 where he served as a sports journalist.

Until his death Juma worked as a content producer at Radio Citizen a role he assumed in 2016.

The veteran Mohammed Juma had over 40 years of experience in the media industry and the pioneer of the English Premier League in Kenya.

In 2010 the late Juma was awarded a Head of State Commendation by retired President Mwai Kibaki for his outstanding career in the industry.

Mohammed has been described as a friend to many people including the former President Daniel Arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki, and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
