Veteran Kenyan rapper Kantai is dead

Veteran Kenyan rapper Chris Kantai has passed away on Wednesday night after being taken to hospital feeling sick.

The 42-year-old rapper is said to have succumbed to breathing complications before passing away.

Mourning the death of Kantai was Kenyan Khaligraph Jones who said “Rest in Peace Kris Kantai”

Several followers of Khaligraph Jones mourned the death of the veteran rapper as they quoted some of the best lyrics from Kantai’s songs.

“R. I. P Chris to the Kantada. khaligraph_jones I remember this humble soul back when Westie was the only place watu wa Eastlando would converge for dunda. Kantai used to mingle with us fans enzi za M2 (offices during the day, usiku ni international Kalocal), Midas, Rezorous, Black D, Crooked Q (enzi za Izzo bouncer mtiaji sana). Rest in Power Icon.” Said one follower.

Kantai is survived with a wife and a child. He was the only surviving member after his only sibling passed away 10 years ago.

The Huu ni nani G hit maker was a household name back in 2000’s scooping several awards including the chaguo la teeniez.
