The National Police Service has denied allegations that a police officer in Voi pick pocketed.
In short descriptions on social media, the National Police Service said that the video doing rounds on social media is a misinterpretation of facts.
“The video clip doing rounds on social media highlighting what appears to be an act of pick pocketing by a police officer is a misrepresentation of facts and untrue.”

They further indicate that they have confirmed from the officer in charge of traffic in Voi that the officer in question is disciplined and of high integrity.
“The Officer in Charge of Traffic Voi has confirmed that he was not pick pocketed. Equally, the police command in Voi has confirmed that the officer in question is disciplined and of high integrity.”
The statement follows a video doing rounds on social media purporting that the officer in question was pick pocketed by a junior police during the dramatic arrest of Governor Mike Sonko.
