A male legislator from Wajir County has slapped the county women representative Fatuma Gedi at parliament building.
Wajir East MP Rashid Amin is said to have assaulted the women representative at the lobby even though it is not clear what led to the incident.
The Star has disclosed from their source that the two are said to have engaged in a heated argument outside parliament before Wajir East MP slapped Gedi as security watched helped helplessly.
They further indicate that the cause of the argument was because women rep. Gedi did not allocate any budget money for the county yet she was part of the budget committee.
Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga was with Fatuma Gedi at the time of the assault.
