A warrant of arrest has been issued against Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o and his sister Risper Nyagoy.
The arrest of Governor Nyong’o follows a successful application by his nephew Kenneth Odhiambo for contempt of court as reported by Kenyans.co.ke
The family is entangled in an inheritance case that could also see Odhiambo’s other siblings Susan Mudhune, Esther Nyong’o, and Mary Owiti arrested.
Judge Tripsisa Cherere had ordered Governor Nyong’o and his sister to include all children belonging to his two sisters as beneficiaries of their late father’s multi-million properties.

Some of the properties left behind include flats in Nairobi, a 100-acre farm in Miwani, lands in Manyatta, Tamu, East Ratta and Seme Sub-County in Kisumu.
Efforts by the Governor to block the application seemed to have failed as previous records showed Nyong’o and his sister were the controllers of the properties.
