Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has kicked off a stock take exercise of all grounded and missing County vehicles.
The exercise is meant to facilitate the necessary actions in the recovery and disposal of some of the government motor vehicles as per the law.
“In the process, we have taken stock of all cases of grounded and missing Government vehicles. We will take necessary action towards recovery or disposal in adherence with the law.” Said Governor Wavinya

Besides ensuring smooth service delivery, the exercise is also expected to streamline the human resource capacity of the county with the existing fleet.
“In a bid to Streamline operations and service delivery in my Government, I have mobilized my team in an exercise to take stock of the County Government Motor Vehicle Inventory.
Government vehicles are a critical component of service delivery and so are the drivers assigned to those vehicles. This exercise is aimed at auditing the transport sector in order to harmonize the human resource capacity with the existing fleet.” Said Wavinya
