Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has welcomed the opinion of the Supreme Court of Kenya even though he disagrees with their decision.
“We have always stood for the rule of law and the constitution. In this regard, we respect the opinion of the court although we vehemently disagree with their decision today.” Said Raila
Through a statement, the Azimio presidential candidate noted how his team of lawyers worked tirelessly to table solid evidence challenging the 9th August election results but all their nine grounds were quashed on various grounds.

He continued by saying that the judgment was by no means the end of their movement but rather an inspiration to double their efforts and transform the country into a prosperous democracy.
“The judgment is by no means the end of our movement, in fact, it inspires us to re-double our efforts to transform this country into a prosperous democracy where each and every Kenyan can find their full belonging.
We thank our supporters and Kenyans across the country for standing with us. We will be communicating in the near future our plans to continue our struggle for transparency, accountability, and democracy.” Said Raila
