At least 15 people are feared dead in West Pokot following landslides experienced in the region.
Heavy rains are reported to have caused destruction at Parua village and Nyarkulian.
Properties of unknown value have also been destroyed in the process as villagers scamper to safer grounds.

Speaking to the Nation, a local administrator by the name Joel Bural confirmed that four people were buried alive in Parua village and 12 others at Nyarkulian.
Rescue efforts are also underway so as to retrieve bodies of those are trapped and missing as well.
Kenya red Cros has confirmed the incident saying that its personnel have been activated to deal with it.
