Wiper Party resolves to popularize BBI initiative

Wiper Party led by Kalonzo Musyoka has resolved to traverse the country and popularize the BBI initiative.

Speaking after a two day retreat, the party also resolved to engage Kenyans so as to strengthen devolution to bring the country as one.

“After a two day Wiper Democratic Movement retreat at the Maanzoni Resort we resolved among other issues that WDM-K will traverse the entire country to popularize the BBI initiative and engage robustly with wananchi as we strengthen devolution and inclusivity towards One Kenya.” Said Wiper leader Kalanzo Musyoka.

Speaking to the press, Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka said they will support the initiative only if it does not support to top tier system as called by ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

According to Hon. Raila Odinga the top tier system will not do away with the current governance system but create a regional governance system that will work towards strengthening devolution in the country.

Those opposing the idea have raised concerns of increased corruption if implemented and that the country will dig deeper to fund it.

Hon. Kalonzo also discussed the recent utterances by Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno and Kapsarat MP Oscar Sudi saying they will derail the current steps the country has made so far.

He warned against such leaders holding public office as they cannot be trusted due to their utterances that can divide the country into tribal lines.
