Activist Boniface Mwangi has been found alive in Ukunda, three days later after he was detained by the Tanzania government following his visit.
The activist is reported to have been dumped in Ukunda by Tanzania authorities who entered the country using a vehicle.
Confirming the news was his family and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi who said that the activist had been released.

Boniface Mwangi has however been rushed to the hospital for medical checkup as confirmed by his lawyer James Wanjeri.
The news comes barely hours after the government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the immediate release of the activist.
They also protested how their officials had been blocked from accessing him thus they had no information about his well-being and health condition.
