An African Union military helicopter crashes east of Mogadishu international airport according to sources on the matter.
At the time of the incident, the helicopter had eight passengers on board and was heading to Mogadishu from Ballidogle airport before it crashed.

The scene of the accident has since been cordoned off by AU soldiers on the ground as rescue mission is underway.
“An African Union military helicopter crashes east of Mogadishu international airport, sources.
The copter, Mi24 with 8 people on board was travelling from Ballidogle airport to Mogadishu when it crashed on Wednesday morning.
The fate of those on board is not yet known. AU forces cordoned off the area and rescue efforts are underway.” said Harun Maruf
