Body of missing Sudanese national Mach Mayien Anyieth recovered from Lake Nakuru

Mach Mayien Anyieth, a Sudanese national who went missing on Friday, has been found at Lake Nakuru.

The 21-year-old form three student drowned while fishing at Lake Nakuru.

Confirming his death was Bois Ajak, the chairperson of the South Sudanese community in Nakuru, who said that his body was recovered and taken to PNN Mortuary.

Ajak revealed that the Flamingo High School student left home on Friday at 7:30 pm and did not tell his parents where he was going.

They rushed to Mariki police station to report the matter, only to learn that one of Mach’s friends had already filed the case with the police.

On Sunday, they obtained orders to retrieve his body, but initially, they did not succeed in retrieving him. An investigation into his death has been launched by the police
