DCI Director ordered to appear before the court over Ndiangui Kinyagia disappearance

High Court Judge Chacha Mwita has ordered DCI Director Amin to appear before the court following the disappearance of social media influencer Ndiangui Kinyagia.

The order was issued after Embakasi East MP babu Owino filed a Habeas Corpus on the social media influencer who was abducted by unknown people from his house.

According to the Legislator, the abductions ‘undermine the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed to every citizen’ and that no individual should be taken without following the due process.

“Today at Milimani High Court, I appeared before Justice Chacha Mwita to make an application for Habeas Corpus of Ndiangui Kinyagia who was abducted by the DCI.

The Judge ordered DCI Director to appear before him on Thursday at 11am.

These abductions are not only illegal and unconstitutional, but they also undermine the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed to every citizen.

No individual should ever be taken without due process, detained incommunicado, or held without charge. Such acts amount to gross human rights violations and reflect a dangerous abuse of power by state agents.” said Babu Owino
