DCI request person of interest in MP Were’s murder to surrender

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has called on Philip Nahashon Aroko, a person of interest in the murder of Kasipul MP Charles Were to surrender.

“The Directorate of Criminal Investigations requests Philip Nahashon Aroko to surrender immediately to the nearest police station. He is a person of interest in the ongoing investigation into the brutal murder of Hon. Charles Ong’ondo Were. Compliance with this request is mandatory.” said DCI

The notice comes hours after the police arrested three suspects in the murder of the MP. Two pistols and nine rounds of 9mm calibre ammunition were recovered from the house of Edwin Odhiambo.

Then news comes at a time when the government through the Interior Minister has promised to unearth those behind the assassination.
