The Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat has on Thursday recorded a statement with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) following the death of Albert Ojwang.
The Friday event follows confirmation that the DIG had filed a complaint against the social media influencer who was later arrested in Homa Bay, taken to Central Police Station in Nairobi before he was confirmed dead hours later.

It has since been revealed that DIG Eliud Lagat was grilled by IPOA for several hours after he was summoned by the independent body tasked with investigating the mysterious death of Albert Ojwang.
Even though the details of the summon have not been revealed, IPOA had previously confirmed that it has obtained statement from 20 police officer in relation to the mysterious death.
