DJ Karumba Ngatia, well known as DJ Krowbar is mourning the passing of his wife Joyce Wanjiru Karumba as announced by the family.
Through a statement, the family confirmed that Joyce passed on Monday, January 26th, 2026 at 3 am following health complications after she underwent a kidney transplant last year.

According to the statement, Joyce demonstrated deep faith and resiliance throughout the journey which was prolonged and challenging at the same time.
They continued by saying that she had shown signs of improvement and was even discharged before she was re-admitted after developing complications last week.
Joyce has left behind three chilren namely; Toria, Riri, and Imani.
The family has in the meantime requested for prayers and understanding during this difficult time as they plan to lay her to rest.
