EACC detectives have arrested Edwin Amagola Munyeti, an employee at Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NAWASCO) over alleged forgery of KCSE certificate.
Edwin is the accused of presenting the certificate as a genuine one before he was employed and earned Ksh 9,080,267 during the period.
“The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested Edwin Amagola Munyeti, an employee at Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NAWASCO), over allegations of forgery of an academic certificate.

The Commission launched investigations following allegations that the suspect used a forged Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate, falsely presented as genuine and issued by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), to secure employment at the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company.
As a result of this fraudulent appointment, the suspect unlawfully received Kes9,080,267 in salary payments drawn from public funds between March 2010 and December 2023.
Upon completion of the investigation, the case file was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), who approved the prosecution of the suspect for deceiving principal, forgery, and fraudulent acquisition of public property.
The suspect was processed at the EACC Headquarters at Integrity Centre. He is scheduled to appear in court for plea taking on Tuesday, 13th May 2025.” said EACC
