A huge fire has consumed Mtindwa Market in Nairobi, Umoja area, sending a huge plume of smoke as revealed on Saturday.
Even though the cause remains unknown, the emergency response teams were on site to contain the inferno before it spread to other businesses in the market.

Firefighters were on site to contain the huge inferno that sent huge smoke into the sky as at the time of publishing the article.
Residents have been urged to stay away from the scene to allow emergency reponse teams to work in containing the fire.
No official communication has been issued by either the police or response teams.
