The police have on Saturday arrested five suspects linked to the destruction of property during EACC raid on Trans-Nzoia Governor’s residence.
The five will be charged with malicious damage to property, among other related offences and will also assist the police in the investigations.

“On 19th May 2025, five vehicles belonging to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) were vandalized at the residence of Hon. George Natembeya during the execution of a lawful search warrant.
Following this incident, a targeted police operation was launched within Kitale town to identify and apprehend those responsible. As a result, five suspects were arrested today, 24th May 2025, in connection with the offence. They are expected to face charges of malicious damage to property, among other related offences.
The operation remains active as efforts continue to trace additional individuals linked to the incident. The arrested suspects are currently in custody and are assisting police with investigations.
