Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and ODM party leader Raila Odinga has passed away at the age of 80 years.
According to sources, the former Prime Minister succumbed to a cardiac arrest at the Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital and Research Centre during a morning walk, a hospital he had been hospitalized for the last five days.
It has also been revealed that the ODM party leader developed breathing difficulties before collapsing, and efforts to stablize him failed.

Teh Indian police confirmed that during the morning walk, he was in the company of his daughter, sister and personal doctor.
Also present were security officers from India and Kenya as revealed by a news agency in India.
The late Raila Odinga was born on January 7, 1945 and was the son of Mary Juma Odinga and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Kenya’s first vice president.
He was charged with treason in 1982 by then President Daniel Arap Moi for allegedly planning to overthrow the government.
He was released in February 1988, six years later before he was arrested again in June the same year before he was released in 1989.
In Kenya, he served as the Prime Minister from 2008 to 2013 under President Mwai Kibaki’s regime.
He vied for presidency five times including the recent 2022 elections coming behind President William Ruto.
