It was business unusual in Nakuru after a fuel truck burst into flames in Pipeline area on Friday night before spreading to other fuel tankers in the area.
Confirming the incident was the Kenya Pipeline Company which said they managed to contain the inferno as they promised to safeguard properties and lives.

“In an unfortunate incident yesterday where a fuel truck burst into flames in Nakuru’s Pipeline Area, Kenya Pipeline Company fire marshals were the first responders on site, acting swiftly to contain the situation. At KPC, fire safety is deeply embedded in our culture.
We are proud of our highly trained emergency response teams and remain fully committed to safeguarding lives and property wherever we operate.” said KPC
The night incident affected traffic along the busy Nakuru-Nairobi highway even though no casualties have been reported so far.
