Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has launched a door-to-door campaign to woo voters ahead of the Mbeere By-election.
Gachagua was joined by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Democratic Party’s Eugene Wamalwa to campaign for Newton Karish who will battle it with UDA’s Leonard Muriuki for the November 27th By-election.

The former Deputy President has accused the government of bribing residents so as to have their way ahead of the exercise.
“What a beautiful morning! My morning walk through mango farms in Mbeere North has been nothing but an exhilarating breath taking. I combined my pursuit for good health with a one-on-one campaign for Newton Karish, my candidate of choice for the Mbeere North parliamentary by-election.
I met my fellow villagers in homes to commission to door-to-door campaign. I am very encouraged by the response and assistance by the residents that they cannot sell their vote no matter the price. For the next 9 days, I am on the ground, listening and engaging the people of Mbeere North,” said Gachagua.
