A grade two student is feared dead after he was swept away by floods that rocked Milimani area, Nakuru County on Wednesday.
At the time of the incident, the 8-year-old student was walking home when he slipped into a drainage trench located by the roadside.

Also confirming the incident was a police report that confirmed Glen Karanja slipped into the trench that been filled with rain water following the heavy rains that pounded the region.
“Mtoto wangu anasema wamejaribu kumvuruta wakashindwa, wakaona akitembea na maji… hatukuwa tunajua kutaenda hivi,” said Glen Karanja’s aunt Miriam Karanja.
The deceased mother Priscilla Karanja revealed to Citizen TV that her third born son left school at 3:30pm but things turned out for the worst later on.
“Nimepigiwa simu nikaambiwa mtoto amenyeshewa sana, wanasema mtoto ameenda na maji… ametolewa hapa kama amekufa,” she said
