Twelve people are reported to have sustained injuries following a knife attack at the main railway station as confirmed by local media.
Out of the injured, three of them are reported to be in critical condition and three others sustained serious injuries. The police have already arrested a suspect as a major operation is currently underway.

Addressing the media was a spokesperson of the Hamburg fire department who revealed that some of those injured sustained life threatening injuries.
“According to initial findings, a person allegedly injured several people with a knife in the main station.” said Hamburg police
At the time of the Friday incident, a train was at the station and some of those injured received treatment inside the train.
Images from the group revealed how the emergency service personnel rushed to the scene and even covered those injured thus blocking the view.
